Privacy policy

This policy covers the Tocamoufy website and the Tocamoufy processing service, both operated by Tocamoufy. It describes what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to reach us about it.

What we collect

Depending on how you use Tocamoufy, we handle a few distinct categories of information:

• Account and contact information — name, email address, and billing details if you subscribe to a paid plan.
• Uploaded content — the audio or video files you upload for processing, along with the transcripts, captions, and other derivative files generated from them.
• Usage data — basic server logs (timestamps, IP address, request type) generated as a normal part of running the service, used for security and troubleshooting.
• Correspondence — anything you send to hello@tocamoufy.com or another support channel.

The marketing site itself (the pages you're reading now) does not use analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or third-party cookies. It sets no cookies at all.

How we use it

Uploaded recordings and their transcripts are used exclusively to generate the outputs you request — clips, captions, summaries, quote graphics, thread outlines, and show notes — and to display those drafts back to you in the editing queue. We don't use uploaded content to train models, and we don't review it manually except when required to investigate a support request you've raised or a violation of the terms of service.

Account and billing information is used to operate your subscription, process payment, and send service-related notices. Contact information is used to respond to you and, if you've opted in, to send product updates — always with a working unsubscribe path.

Retention and deletion

Uploaded source files and their transcripts are retained for 30 days after upload, so you can return to a project and adjust the editing queue, and are then deleted automatically from active storage. You can delete a project manually before that window closes. Exported assets that you've downloaded are yours to keep or discard; we don't retain a separate copy once a project is deleted. Account records are kept for as long as the account is active, plus a limited period afterward for billing and legal recordkeeping.

Sharing

We don't sell personal information or uploaded content, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Files are processed using infrastructure providers we contract with for storage and compute — they handle data under contractual confidentiality terms and don't have an independent right to use it. We may disclose information if legally required to, or to protect the security of the service.

Your choices

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated content. Email hello@tocamoufy.com and we'll handle the request; expect a response within a reasonable time, generally a few business days. If you've received marketing email from us, every message includes an unsubscribe link, and requests submitted through it are honored within 48 hours across all of our mailing.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how we handle your information, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders directly.
